Seeking
A seeker will only find what they are looking for if they respect what they are seeking. “Seek and you shall find” assumes that you have a basic level of respect for what you’re looking for. What follows is: “knock, and the door shall be opened unto you.”
The verse doesn’t say to kick the door in, or to walk into the inner sanctum with your shoes on, unannounced. Respect is presumed.
If you respect a thing, you will come to know it.
If you know it, you will come to understanding.
Once you understand, then you can learn to love it.
Learning to love it brings the joy of taking care of it.
The process of turning lead into gold requires gratitude for the process itself. When you’re having a hard time getting what you want, take a step back and check your levels of respect and appreciation for what it is you desire.
