The Heart Sutra

We often talk about the heart as a soft, romantic, feminine thing. But the heart is a great androgyne: capable of the most sumptuous expression of love and the most precise truth-telling. Between the wisdom of love and the work of it, sits this third energy of Divine Truth.

The heart knows Love. The heart knows Truth.

To find pleasure in the romance of life,
To find pleasure in the precision of prudence,
To embrace pain in the romance of life,
To embrace pain in the precision of prudence…

True balance of the heart sutra means to master pain and pleasure, love and prudence.

The invocation of Justice is a provocation for the revelation of Truth. Never mind if Truth is in your favor. It doesn’t need anyone’s approval, or socio-political finesse. We are all subject to the Law of Truth itself. It is inevitable science. Truth stands alone.

Never demand Justice without being ready for the Truth. Always start with a demand for Justice if your heart longs for balance.
